Borger - Concepcion "Connie" Robles Garcia died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, in Amarillo.

Rosary services will be at 6:30 p.m. today in Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel.

Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church with Father Guillermo Morales officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery in Borger.

Connie came to Borger in 1944 from Garden City, Kan., and raised five children with her husband Pete. She was very active in the community, serving the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 412 from 1945 until the present in all offices, including president. She was a member of St. John's Altar Society from 1945 until the present and a member of the Rebekah Lodge in the 1970s, a member of the Borger Independent School District PTA and the St. John's Choir. Connie was a direct descendant of Aztec Indians from Zacatecas, Mexico.

Connie was married to Octaviano P. "Pete" Garcia Sr. on Jan. 3, 1944, in Garden City. Pete preceded her in death in 1992.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel G. Garcia and wife Kathy of Wichita Falls and Junior Garcia of Denton; three daughters, Olivia Martinez Abshire and husband Larry of Floresville, Sophia Garcia-Robles of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Yvonne Payne and husband Ron of Borger; a sister, Susan Mujica of Garden City; Seven grandchildren, Ralph Martinez, Adam Martinez, Duncan Garcia, Danielle Garcia, Katy Garcia, Lauren Monden and Ronay Bach; and five great-grandchildren, Kole Bryan, Kenny Monden, Haylee Monden, Infinity Martinez and Miguel Martinez.

Casketbearers will be Lupe Garcia, Guy Garcia, Steve Garcia, Chris Garcia, Jamie Garcia and Tim Garcia.

The family will be at 302 McCarthy in Borger.
