*Obituary
A Borger serviceman, Joe M. Garcia, was drowned while swimming Sunday in Germany. Garcia, 24, was stationed with the United States Paratroopers in Germany at the time of his death. He had been in service for six years.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Garcia Sr. of 708 Brain; two brothers, Pete and Adam Garcia Jr., both of Borger; three sisters, Mrs. Dora McLain [McLane] of Booker, Mrs. Beatrice George of Stinnett and Miss Theresa Garcia of Borger.

The body will be sent back to Borger where funeral arrangements will be under the direction of the Minton Funeral Home.
