Joel Gariepy, 711 Delaware, retired driller, and resident of Borger area for 32 years, died at North Plains Hospital at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be announced by Minton Mortuary.
Mr. Gariepy was 84 years of age.
He is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. I.B. Welch, Mrs. Charlie Allsbury, Mrs. Ruby Tull, all of Borger, Mrs. A.L. Barkley of Claude, Mrs. S.S. Sutton of Electra, Mrs. Cecil Russell of Panhandle, Mrs. Charlie Layman of Illinois; three sons, Andy of Borger, Willard of Odessa, Guy of Spring Hill, Kans.
Also two sisters, Mrs. Sophia Boules of Graham, Mrs. Roland Plots of Carlyle, Ill.; two brothers, Fred of Kansas and Merle of Ohio; 45 grandchildren, 82 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Vinnie Gariepy, 77-year-old resident of Borger since 1930, died in North Plains Hospital today about 12:50 a.m. The body is resting at Ed Brown, Funeral Director pending completion of arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Gariepy; seven daughters, Mrs. J.B. Welch, Panhandle; Mrs. Tom Barkley, Pampa; Mrs. Cecil Russell, Panhandle; Mrs. Mable Sutton, Spring Creek; Mrs. Ruby Tull, Borger; Mrs. Charles Allsbury, Borger and Mrs. Charley Laymon, Borger; four sons, Harvey Gariepy and Andy Gariepy, both of Borger and Willard Gariepy and Guy Gariepy of Kansas.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Bernice White, Mrs. Marion Cole and a brother, Harrison Post, all of Centerville, Penna.; 57 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren.
