William "Bill" Dean Garrett, Jr., 48, of Borger, died Monday, March 3, 1997 at Baptist St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at the Bible Baptist Church with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe officiating.
Mr. Garrett was a lifetime Borger resident. He graduated from Borger High School in 1966. He was a sheriff's deputy under the late Hugh Anderson for 11 years and served as County Constable for eight years before retiring from law enforcement in 1988. He was co-owner and then owner of Garrett Motor Co. and a member of the Bible Baptist Church.
He married Charlotte Benton on May 25, 1968 in Borger.
He was preceded in death by his father William "Dean" Garrett Sr. in April 1989.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte of the home; one daughter, Deana Ott of Borger; his son in law, Raymond Ott of Borger; a granddaughter, Mercedes Ott of Borger; his mother Lyone Garrett of Borger; his grandmother, Eva Bell of Borger; one sister Belynnda Griffin of Hugoton, Ks.; two nieces, one nephew and great nieces.
The family will be staying at 133 Broadmoor in Borger.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

BORGER - Charlotte Kay Benton Garrett, 60, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Highland Park Cemetery in Borger with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe officiating. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Garrett was born May 18, 1950, in Borger to Thomas W. and Almeta Peden Benton. She married William Dean Garrett on May 25, 1968, in Stinnett.
Survivors include a daughter, Deana Ott of Borger; her mother of Ardmore, Okla.; a brother, Tony L. Benton of Ardmore; and two grandchildren.
