Funeral services for C.M. Gidley, 802 Nonken Street, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Ed Brown, Funeral Director with the Rev. Jeff Moore, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Park Cemetery.
Gidley, a local resident for the past 32 years, died at North Plains Hospital early this morning after a brief illness. He was 81 years old.
Survivors include his wife, Lola; three sons, Blake Gidley of New Orleans, Louisiana; Ben F. Gidley and B.C. Gidley, both of Stinnett; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, J.C. Gidley of Lytle and Carl Gidley of San Antonio, and two sisters, Mrs. Leona McDonald of Belton and Mrs. Aline Bell of Smiley.
Pallbearers will be B.K. Shirley, H.L. Sieber, Charles Renick, H.G. Williams, Lee Fowler, and F.M. Parker.
