*Obituary Nestor
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. yesterday for Nestor K. Gikas, 80, of Borger in the Minton Mortuary of Borger. The Rev. Spiridon J. Nicolopoulos, minister of St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, Amarillo, officiated. Burial was in the Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of the Minton Mortuary. Mr. Gikas died in Austin Wednesday.

Mr. Gikas was born in Greece, came to the United States in 1905 and moved to Borger in 1926, where he established the Acme Hat Works. He had lived in Borger 37 years and was a member of St. John's Greek Orthodox Church, Amarillo.

He is survived by his wife of the home; four sons, John and Ted Gikas of Pampa; Chris Gikas of Portales, N.M. and Lieut. Col. Gus Gikas of San Antonio; two daughters, Mrs. Bob Herrin of Alexandria, La., and Mrs. J.T. Blackburn Jr. of Borger; 13 grandchildren and two sisters and a brother in Greece.

Services for Mrs. Freda Gikas, 88, of 429 Harvey, were at 10 a.m. today in Minton Memorial Chapel with Father Gavalas of Denver, officiating.

Burial was in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

An area resident for the past 55 years, Mrs. Gikas was a native of Trikkala, Greece. She was a housewife, and a member of St. Joh's Greek Orthodox Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bob Herrin of Marshall and Mrs. J.T. Blackburn of Bartlesville; four sons, Col. Gus Gikas of San Antonio, Chris of Portales, N.M., and John and Ted of Pampa; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
