Johnny F. Gillman, 74, of Borger died Sunday, Jan. 30 in Borger.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Sheppard, Pastor of Faith Covenant Church, officiating. Interment will be in "Eastlawn Garden" at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Gillman was born in Okmulgee, Okla., on Aug. 2, 1925 and had been a Borger area resident since 1925. He married Georgia Line on July 25, 1943, in Las Cruces, N.M.

As a co-owner of Travelers Oil Co., he was activly [sic] involved in development and production of oil and gas in the Texas Panhandle. He attended Faith Covenant Church where he served as an elder.

He was preceeded [sic] in death by his son Jerry Dean Gillman, in 1960.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia of the home; two sons, Levert and Teresa Gillman and Bruce and Teresa Gillman, both of Borger; three brothers, H.B. Gillman of Glenwood, Ark., L.C. Gillman of Ft. Bragg, Calif. and Billy M. Gillman of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Cap and Leslyn Gillman of of [sic] Amarillo, Trey and Lisa Gillman of Borger, Matt and Cristen Gillman of Borger, Jenniffer Gillman of Amarillo and Amanda and John David Dawson of Amarillo; five great-grandchildren, Claire, Georgia Grace, Elizabeth, Shelby and Catlin.

Memorials may be made to Faith Covenant Memorial Fund, Borger, or Alzheimers Association of the Texas Panhandle, 2200 W. Seventh, Amarillo, Texas, 79106.

Georgie Lee Gillman, 89 died, Wednesday, January 1, in Amarillo. Graveside Services will be at 10:30 a.m. at Highland Park Cemetery, in Borger, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, at the Westcliff Bible Church, in Amarillo with Rev. Ken Sheppard of Dallas, and Dr. Stephen Waterhouse officiating. Arrangements are by Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Georgie was born on March 4, 1924, in Hedley, TX, to Sam and Alma Line.

She married Johnny Gillman on July 25, 1943.

Georgie was a resident of Borger from 1943 until 2001, when she moved to Amarillo. She was a member of the Westcliff Bible Church. She was a beloved wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and friend to many. She loved to play games with her friends at Craig Methodist Retirement Center.

Georgie was preceded in death by her husband in 2000, a son, Jerry Gillman in 1960, brothers, Garvin and Eugene Line, a sister, Louise Ausbrooks, and grandson, John Gillman in 1971.

Georgie's survivors are sons, Levert Gillman and wife Teresa of Amarillo, and Bruce Gillman and wife Teresa of Borger; brother Sammy Line of Amarillo; sister, Nancy Blinker of Dallas; grandchildren, Cap Gillman and wife Leslyn, Jennifer Mills and husband Cody, Amanda Dawson and husband John David, Trey Gillman, Matthew Gillman and wife Cristen; great-grandchildren, Claire, Georgia, and Gray Gillman, Zeke and Cade Mills, Lydia, Hunter, and Sophie Dawson, Elizabeth, Shelby, and Wyatt Gillman, and Caitlin and Madelin Gillman.

Family requests memorials be made to, Westcliff Bible Church, 5300 Amarillo Blvd. West, Amarillo, TX, 79106; Savior's Tear, Box 50711, Amarillo, TX 79159; Masters of Men, Box 767363, Dallas, TX 75379; and Alzheimer's Association, 415 W. Eighth Ave., #300, Amarillo, TX 79101.

There will be a reception with the family immediately following the Memorial Service in Fellowship Hall at Westcliff Bible Church.

Funeral services for Jerry Gillman, 16, who was killed late Friday night in a hunting accident east of Borger, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Spring Creek School Auditorium with the Rev. Spencer House officiating.

The youth, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Gillman of Spring Creek, was killed when he stepped in front of a .22 caliber rifle being shot by Gary Jones, 16, also of Spring Creek. The two youths were hunting with Gillman's uncle, Billy Gillman, at the time of the accident.

Jerry was born in Borger on June 1, 1944, and had lived at Spring Creek all his life and attended school there.

Survivors include his parents, two brothers, John and Bruce, both of the home; and the grandparents, Mrs. Beulah Gillman of Borger and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Line of Graham.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Funeral Home. Casketbearers will be Eddie Harlan, Joe Castleberry, Cleties Emel, Gary Jones, Bates Spradling, Jack Garaway, Jack Hutchinson and Doug Cullins.
