Funeral services for Royce "Jack" Goodson, 76, Borger, were at 2 p.m. today in Minton Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Norman Shuman, pastor of Faith Christina Assembly of Borger and the Rev. Charles B. Thomas, Bartlesville, Okla., officiating.

Burial was in Highland Park Cemetery.

Mr. Goodson died Saturday, April 20, 1991 in Coronado Hospital in Pampa.

A native of Hawkins, he had been a Borger resident since 1942. He was a retired truck driver for Phillips Petroleum Company retiring July 1, 1977 after 32 years.

He was an ordained minister of Bible Way Fellowship, and attended Faith Christian Assembly. He was a member of Senior Citizens of Pampa and Opportunities Center of Borger.

He married Estelle Hopkins Feb. 10, 1945 in Borger.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two step-brothers, Otis Hassler and Ben Hassler, both of Skellytown; a sister, Pauline Campbell of Brownfield; two step-sisters, Lillian Malone and Edna Fish, both of Panhandle.

Pallbearers were Dan Downing, Henry May, John Quinn, and Dalford Whitson.

Estell Goodson, 90. Died on November 2, 2018 in Borger. Graveside services will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Estell was born July 12, 1928 in Loco, OK to Harvey E. Hopkins, Sr. and Myrtle Dean Lawrence Hopkins, she has lived in Borger since 1938. She married Royce Goodson February 10, 1945 in Borger. She was a member of the Red Hat Mamas and Home Demonstration Club. She was also a member of the World Bible Way Fellowship where she was an ordained Minister, she attended the Church of God. Estell was also a licensed Beautician, but mostly enjoyed working in the Nursery of several churches.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Royce, two brothers H. E. Hopkins, Jr. and Doyle Melton Hopkins, two sisters Elfleeta Mills and Virginia Fletcher.

Estell is survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.

Grateful thanks goes to Caprock Nursing Home and BSA Hospice of the Southwest for the loving care they showed Estell.
