Mrs. Laura B. Grimes, 61, wife of R.L.(Bob) Grimes, president of the Panhandle State Bank, died at the family home, 823 N. Hedgecoke, shortly after 10 o'clock Wednesday night.

A longtime resident of this area, Mrs. Grimes had been ill for several months.

Other than her husband, Mrs. Grimes is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lorene Collins of Borger and Mrs. James Sanchez of Aurora, Colo.; a son, R.E. Grimes of Bartlesville, Okla.; two brothers, J.A. Wallace of Mangum, Okla., and J. N. Wallace of Harrison, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. J.B. Smith and Mrs. Fred Foraker, both of Mangum; and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Grimes was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Borger, was past president of the All-Church Council, and also was a member of the Twentieth Century Club and the Borger Music Club.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church, with the pastor, the Rev. James G. Glenn, officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. Winfred Moore, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Borger.

The casket will not be opened at the church service, and interment will be in the local cemetery.

Active casketbearers will be Bob Lindsy, Bob Bradshaw, Fritz Ostrom, Karl Klein, Ed Ralston, and Fritz Thompson.

Honorary pallbearers are David Warren, A.C. Donell, R.E. Bayless, Harvey Takewell, Lee Johnson, E.C. Britain Jr., John Oaks, Olen Henderson, John Thurman, and Hugh Cypher.
