BORGER - William Hargis, 51, died Wednesday night when his heavy gas truck crashed 16 miles north on State Highway 15 at 4:30 p.m. He was dead on arrival at North Plains Hospital. A woman passenger, Pat Rose, 26, was thrown out of the truck but not injured. She was admitted to North Plains Hospital with minor injuries. Hargis, an oil jobber, lived in Borger 22 years. His truck was traveling south when his truck went off the road and hit a culvert. It overturned and landed upright. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church with the pastor, the Rev. Joe Dee Ray, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown Funeral Directors. Surviving are a son, Leslie of Lubbock; two brothers, Charles T. of Borger and Clarence of Seminole, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Green of Seminole, and Mrs. Ettie McCluskey of Wewoka, Okla., and his mother Mrs. Viola Hargis of Seminole
