John Wayne Hassler, 64, died March 21, 2015 in Borger. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Jake Minton officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

John was born to Benjamin Alexander Hassler and Julia Odell Taylor Hassler April 3, 1950 in Borger. He had lived here the last 7 years of his life and before that he was an independent Welder and Fabricator. He also was an instructor for welding at Grayson County College. John loved to teach.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Alex and Thomas Hassler

John is survived by his two sons Wayne Hassler of Borger and Kurt James Hassler of Marshalltown, Iowa, his daughter Katrina Ward and her husband Nathan of Amarillo, his brother Jim Hassler of Amarillo, his three sisters Bertha Porter, Carol Rovner and Judy Hassler Bosley all of Skellytown and 2 Grandchildren Lexi Taylor and Kaiden Ward.

The family will meet friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday.
