*Obituary Rex
Rex Franklin Hensley, 80, of 206 Union in Borger died Sunday, May 29, 1988 at his home.

A retired Phillips warehouseman, he was a native of Strong City, Okla. and a Borger resident since 1946. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Hensley in 1985.

Survivors include two daughter, Betty Sanders and Rexa Hall, both of Borger; a son Ronald Hensley of Perryton; two brothers, Manuel Hensley of Strong City and Hoyt Hensley of Dayton, Ohio; two sisters, Katherine Dunn of Los Angeles, Calif. and Thelma Easley of Las Cruces, N.M.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.

The family will be gathering at 306 Santa Fe in Borger.

Velma V. Hensley, 74, of 206 Union in Borger, died Friday at her home.

Retired after 20 years with the Borger Independent School District, she was a native of Elk City, Okla. and a Borger resident since 1946.

She was a Methodist. She married Rex Hensley on Oct. 26, 1927 at Strong City, Okla.

She is survived by her husband, Rex, of the home; two daughters, Betty Sanders of Borger, Rexa Hall of Borger; one son, Ronald Hensley of Perryton; five sisters, Valena Gesell of Arnett, Okla., Sylvia Thompson of Moore, Okla., Mozelle Thompson of Tucson, Ariz., Ethel Lynn of El Cajon, Cal., Tootsie Gilliland of Sayre, Okla.; one brother, C.E. Crites of Borger; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Taylor, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.

The family will be staying at 306 Santa Fe.
