Borger Pioneer Dies In Houston

Moses F. Hinds, a resident of Borger for the past 25 years, died at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday in Houston following a lengthy illness. He had opened one of the first barbershops in Borger and was a carpenter at the time of his death.

He was a member of the Baptist church, Carpenters Local 1201, and the Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. M.R. Hinds, Borger; one son, Bobby Gene, now stationed with the Air Force in Wichita Falls; one grandson, Randy Eugene Hinds, Borger; five sisters: Mrs. Roy Guffey, Borger; Mrs. J.W. Morris and Mrs. Charley Campbell, both of Dalhart; Mrs. M.A. DeLong, Midland; Mrs. R.B. Knight, Fairview, Mo.; five brothers: Manuel and J.B. of Borger, E.H. and A.L. of Fairview, Mo.; and W.R. of El Reno, Okla.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Tenth Street Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Willeford, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Highland Park cemetery under the direction of the Minton Funeral Home.
