Services for Ernest M. Hooper, 85, will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Glen Harrington, will officiate.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Casket Bearers will be Tommy Hooper, Gary Hooper, James Robinson, David Robinson, E.L Ford, E.L. Ford, Jr., Wayne Norman and Wendyl Sanders.

A retired operator at the Phillips Petroleum Company's Rice Plant, he was a native of Copeland, Texas and a Borger resident since 1947.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the Noel Sunday School Class.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma of the home; two sons, Bervin C. Hooper of Kileen and Thomas M. Hooper of Scurry; a daughter, Doris Robinson of Broken Arrow, Okla.; two sisters, Mary Alice Hooper and Ruth Hooper, both of Amarillo; three brothers, Eugene Hooper of New Braunfels, Sims Hooper of Itasca and Jim Hooper of Borger; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
