BORGER - Cecil C. Humphreys, 95, died Wednesday, March 2, 2005.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Brown Funeral Directors Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.

Mr. Humphreys was born May 9, 1909, in Hollis, Okla. He married Alta Fay Humphreys on Feb. 21, 1931, in Hollis.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth C. Humphreys of Clovis, N.M., and Edwin E. "Doc" Humphreys of Kingsland, Ga.; a daughter, Shirley Bruce of Borger; a sister, Mildred Cox of Hollis; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Alta Fay Humphreys, 90, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 1997 in Borger.

Services are pending with Brown Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Humphreys was born in Sherman; she had been Borger resident for 64 years. She was a housewife and a member of Johnson Park Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Cecil C. Humphreys of Borger; two sons, Kenneth C. Humphreys of Tucumcari, N.M., and Edwin E. "Doc" Humphreys of St. Marys, Ga; one daughter, Shirley A. Bruce of Borger; one brother, Loy Ross of Hinton, Okla.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will be staying at 110 Taylor in Borger.
