*Obituary Doris Faye
FRITCH - (HC) A father and his two daughters were severely burned yesterday morning, one fatally, when accumulated gas in the basement of their home ignited and caught their clothing on fire. The accident occurred early Sunday just before the family was leaving their home for an Easter outing.

L.K. Ingram, 33, his 7-year-old daughter, Doris Faye and a three-year-old daughter, Vicki Lee, had gone to the basement to secure supplies.

Ingram and Doris Faye were inside the basement and Vicki Lee was standing on the steps when the flash explosion occurred.

The blaze ignited the clothing of all three, and Ingram, with his own clothing ablaze, grabbed the two burning daughters under his arms and rushed from the basement. Mrs. Ingram saw her husband coming from the basement and in an attempt to extinguish their burning clothing suffered burns on her hands and arms.

The family was taken to North Plains Hospital where Doris Faye died around 10:55 p.m. Sunday. Hospital attendants said late this morning that Vicki Lee was in "critical" condition and her father was "serious" but not believed to be critical. The mother was treated for burns but was not hospitalized.

A match which was struck in the basement, to locate some articles was believed to have ignited gas which had accumulated there.

Other than the parents, Doris Faye is survived by two brothers, Curtis Lee and Allen Kenneth; two sisters, Lois Kay and Vicki Lee and the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Ingram; and the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charley Anderson.

The body is resting at a local funeral home, pending completion of arrangements.
