Bennie F. James, 50, died at his home at 1303 Turner at 11:10 a.m. today. Mr. James was a carpenter and had lived in Borger for twenty-four years. He was a member of the Central Christian Church.

Other than his wife, he is survived by one brother, Bill James, Hillsboro, Texas; two half-brothers, Narvin Maxwell, Borger and Newell Maxwell, Austin; and one sister, Mrs. Ruby McCarthy, Hillsboro.

Funeral arrangements are pending with Minton's Mortuary.

Final rites for Bennie F. James, longtime Borger resident, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday in Minton Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Will T. Winslow, Central Christian Church, officiating.

Burial in Highland Park Cemetery will be under the direction of Minton Mortuary.

Casketbearers are Herschel Smith, Douglas Fisher, Ruel Davis, Jerry Jenkins, J.C. Badgett, Travis Thornton.
