NEW BOSTON — Emma Lou
Hamilton, 86, of New Boston died Monday, Dec. 12, 2011.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Bates Family Funeral Home Chapel in DeKalb with Robby Bates officiating. Burial will be in Read Hill Cemetery in New Boston. Arrangements are by Bates Family Funeral Home of DeKalb.
Ms. Hamilton was born Aug. 22, 1925, in Amarillo to Raymond John Gruver and Audie Beatrice Sloan Gruver. She was a
homemaker and Christian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Hamilton Sr., in 2009; and her parents,
Raymond John Gruver and Audie Beatrice Sloan Gruver.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandy Feazell and husband Bill Jr. of New Boston; a son, John C. Hamilton Jr. of New Boston; a brother, Tommy Gruver of El Paso; four grandchildren, Joni Thomas, John C. Hamilton III, Tracy Sorsby and Melissa Berry; five great-grandchildren, Taryn Sorsby, Chance Sorsby, Will Sorsby, Taegan Thomas and Lexi Thomas.
The family suggests memorials be to Hospice of Texarkana, 803 Spruce St., Texarkana, TX 75501; or charity/church of choice.
