Opal Johnson, 77, of Borger, died Thursday, Oct 14, in Long Beach, Calif.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church Chapel with Mr. Bill Bailey officiating. Interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Arkadelphia, Ark., and had been a Borger resident since 1948.
She retired as secretary in the Traffic Department at Phillips Petroleum Co.
She was a Baptist and past member of the Desk & Derrick Club.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Johnson in 1998.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy Johnson of Amarillo; four brothers, Hershel Lewis of Borger, Thurman Lewis of Fritch, John Lewis, Jr., of Sweeney and Willie Lewis of Healdton, Okla.; four sisters, Mae Fountain of Nacogdoches, Alma Maree Warren of Houston, Dovie Calley of Hawaiian Gardens, Calif., and Katie Snider of Borger and two grandchildren, Randy Johnson and wife, Lethi, of Amarillo and Jennifer Johnson of Amarillo.
