Rosary for George D. Jones, 63, of 1504 Cooley, will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Minton's Memorial Chapel.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. John's Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard Neyer, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Mr. Jones died at 1:45 a.m. Friday in his home.

A native of Filer, Idaho, he had been a Borger resident for 33 years. He was a construction superintendent for Highland Industries, a World War II veteran, member of VFW, and St. John's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Doris; three daughters, Mrs. Karen McKee of Guymon, Okla., Mrs. Debbie Rogers and Mrs. Becky Riggle, both of Borger; three sons, Tom A. Jones of Fritch, Mickey Jones of Shamrock, and Joey Jones of Borger; two sisters, Mrs. Joe Wheeler of Coffeyville, Kan., and Mrs. Jim Findley of Manhatten, Kan.; his mother, Mrs. Opal Jones of Grenola, Kan.; and six grandchildren.

BORGER - Doris Janice Jones, 88, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2008.

Rosary will be said at 6 p.m. today in Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors Minton Memorial Chapel with Jim Wolf officiating. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with the Rev. Rovi as celebrant. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Jones was born May 5, 1920, in Moline, Kan., to Bruce J. and Elizabeth Findley. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons, Joey D. Jones of Borger and Mickey Jones of Shamrock; three daughters, Debbie Rogers and Becky Riggle, both of Borger, and Karen McKee of Guymon, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
