Services for Jerry Wayne Jones, 40, of 1022 Bowman, are pending with Alexander Funeral Directors.
Sgt. Jones was pronounced dead on arrival at North Plains Hospital at 5:30 a.m. Sunday.
A staff sergeant in the United States Air Force, Sgt. Jones was a native of Paris. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Sgt. Jones graduated from Cal Farley's Boys Ranch in 1959. Stationed at Altus, Okla., he had been in the service for 20 years. He had served three terms in Vietnam. Sgt. Jones was on leave when he died.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Mongold of Borger; his father, Herbert O. Jones of Borger; one daughter, Micki Lowe of Borger; one son, Kenneth Wayne Jones of Madrid, Spain; two brothers, Charles H. Jones of Big Spring and Tom Sargeant of Perryton; and one sister, Pam Jones of Amarillo.
