*Obituary
W.A. Jones, retired carpenter, died in a local hospital from a lingering illness today.
He was born in San Antonio, Texas, Sept. 19, 1859 and came to Borger from Dallas in 1928 and has made his home here ever since.
He is survived by a wife, four sons, and two daughters.
The sons are W.A. Jones, Jr., of Tyler; J.H. Jones of Dallas; Albert Jones and Leonard Jones, both of Ada, Okla.
The daughters are Mrs. Joe Roper of Ada, and Mrs. Louis Moore of Salma, Calif. There are two step-daughters, Mrs. Alta Pate and Mrs. Dura Ray, both of Okmulgee, Okla.
Services will be at the Powell funeral chapel at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. The Rev. J.A. Thomas and Bro. A.G. Hobbs will be in charge.
Burial will be at Highland cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be the local carpenter's union and active pallbearers will be selected from the Assembly of God church.
