Margaret Henderson was born in Rowan, North Carolina on January 13, 1780. Her parents are James Henderson, Jr. and Sarah Elizabeth Peters.
In 1803, in Rowan, North Carolina, she married Thomas R. Plaster. This union produced 4 sons, one of them being Thomas Pliney Plaster, who was known for manning one of the "Twin Sisters" cannons during the Battle of San Jacinto.
Mrs. Margaret Plaster died on July 4, 1844 in Bedias, Grimes County, Texas. She is buried in the family cemetery in Bedias, Grimes County, Texas on private property.
