Harvey Bob "Bud" Konechney, 60, of 601 Jackson, Borger, died at 8:500 a.m. Thursday at his home.

A retired Asbestos Local 66 employee, he was a native of Choctaw, Okla., and a Borger resident for 41 years. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, of the home; a daughter, Diane Konechney of Dumas; two sons, Ricky Konechney, Borger, and Monty Konechney, Yukon, Okla.; a brother, Tommy Konichney, Harrah, Okla. and his mother, Effie Konechney of Harrah, Okla.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Earl Skaggs, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Funeral services for Harvey Bob "Bud" Konechney, 60, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Earl Skaggs, pastor, officiating.

Casket bearers will be Billy Laughlin, Jack Janow, Bob Mathews, B.E. Tate, Gene Crone and Clyde Widosky.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Konechney died Thursday at his home in Borger.

Mary Earlene Konechney, 84, died April 15, 2014 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Brad Foster of Dumas and Pastor Earl Skaggs of Claremore, Oklahoma officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mary was born December 10, 1929 in Amarillo to Van and Hazel Shufelt Foster, she lived her entire life in Borger and was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was a self-employed hairdresser but mainly she was a witness for Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey Bob Konechney in 1983 and her brother Van "Bozo" Foster.

Mary is survived by her two sons Ricky Konechney of Amarillo and Monty Konechney and his wife Shara of Lubbock, her daughter Diane Konechney of Taos Ski Valley, NM, her brother Larry Foster of Dallas, her four sisters Patsy Kelley of Arlington, Judy Herbst of Lampasas, Suzanne Kerwin of Branson, MO and Lillie Noble of Lubbock, and her grandson Patrick.
