Funeral services for Joe Landers, 56, 414 Harvey, who died from injuries received in an oilfield accident near Pampa Saturday, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Minton's Funeral Chapel here.
Dr. Clifton Tennison, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.
Landers died in an Amarillo hospital two hours after he had been transferred from the Pampa Worley Hospital.
He was a tool dresser working with a Murphy and McKernan crew putting a string of seven-inch casing on a well on a Skelly lease near Pampa.
During the operation, the pipe elevator became unlatched and dropped a 20-foot section of pipe on him. Landers suffered a broken back and a punctured lung.
Survivors include his wife, Lois of the home; a stepson, A.D. Pool, Stinnett; three brothers, Hugh, Clifton, and J.W. Landers, and a daughter, Mrs. Josephine Chapman, all of Houston and two sisters.
