Rosary for Manuel Lopez Hernandez, 69, of Slaton will be at 7 p.m. today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Deacon Phillip Maldonado officiating.
Funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the same church with the Rev. Lawrence Hemp officiating.
Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service.
He died Sunday, March 12, 2000, at Covenant Medical Center.
He was born May 30, 1930, in Southland. He attended Southland schools and married Dora Ariaz in 1963. He moved to Slaton in 1963 and worked for Trinity Compress. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Albert and Esteban A., both of Lubbock, Gabriel Jesus of Lawton, Okla., and Michael A. and Richard, both of Arlington; three daughters, Gloria Hernandez of Slaton, Virginia H. Zapata of Dallas, and Patricia Hernandez of Fort Worth; two brothers, Joe and John, both of Lubbock; three sisters, Pauline Valdez and Mary Torrez, both of Lubbock, and Geneva Torres of Slaton; and 11 grandchildren.

Rosary for Dora Ariaz Hernandez, 74, of Slaton will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Lawrence Hemp officiating.
Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the same church with the same officiant.
Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
She died Tuesday, March 5, 2002.
She was born Feb. 19, 1928, in Big Spring and moved to Slaton in 1938. She married Manuel L. Hernandez in 1963 in Slaton. He died March 12, 2000. She had worked for Lubbock National Linen from 1958 to 1970. She later worked for Lubbock ISD and retired in 1996. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
A grandson died in 1993.
Survivors include five sons, Albert and Esteban, both of Lubbock, Gabriel of Lawton, Okla., Michael of Arlington and Richard of Slaton; three daughters, Gloria Hernandez of Slaton, Virginia Zapata of Arlington and Patricia Hernandez of Fort Worth; four sisters, Carolina Hernandez and Carmen Salazar, both of Slaton, Bertha Pequeno of Plainview and Amelia Rogers of Lubbock; and 14 grandchildren.
