Services for Mike Jackson, 62, of Slaton, will be 2 p.m., Friday, Dec, 26, 2008, in Slaton's Bible Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Englewood Cemetery and under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service, of Slaton.
Mike was born Aug. 7, 1946, in Red River County, Texas. He moved to Slaton as a child in 1950. Mike was traffic manager for TG&Y, owner/operator of Mike's Texaco. He began working for Southland ISD in 2008. Mike married Belinda Bigham Ybarra on Feb. 14, 2008, in Lubbock.
He was an active member of the Llano Estacado Carriage Club.
He is survived by his wife, Belinda; stepson, Jason Ybarra; and step daughters, Jennifer and husband J'Bob Jowers and Breann Ybarra; five grandchildren; foster father, Charlie Barnes; sister, Debbie Rainwater and husband Freddie; niece, Ashley Rainwater; and foster sister, Debbie Banks.
