BORGER — Melvin Manwarring, 87, formerly of Amarillo, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Highland Park Cemetery with Norman Shuman, retired pastor of Abundant Life Fellowship, officiating. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Directors.

Mr. Manwarring was born March 22, 1918, in Alhambra, Calif. He married Margaret Virginia Watson in Las Vegas in 1947.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Michelle Garvet of Amarillo and Melanie Willey of Dallas; a sister, Dorothy Hobson of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Quinn's Care Center, 920 S. Main St., Borger, TX 79007.

Mrs. Manwarring was born April 11, 1918, in Ozark, Ark. She married Melvin Manwarring in 1947 in Las Vegas.

Survivors include two daughters, Michelle Garvert of Amarillo and Melanie Willey of Dallas; and two grandchildren.
