*Obituary
BORGER - Jimmy "Bimbo" Matthews, 45, died Sunday, March 28, 1999.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bruce Ridling, pastor of Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.
Mr. Matthews was born in Memphis and moved from Lelia Lake to Borger in 1965, where he worked for the city.
He married Wanda Whitcher in 1979.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Tracy Matthews and Billy Matthews, both of Borger; three daughters, Melissa Matthews, Britney Matthews and Amy Matthews, all of Borger; his mother, Odessa Matthews of Borger; two brothers, Haskell Matthews and Jerry Matthews, both of Borger; three sisters, Leatha Mitchell of Borger, Rene Cross of Hugoton, Kan., and Alice Jo Lance of Houston; and a grandchild.
