Services for Baxter Wayne Conger, 66, of Lubbock will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at the Idalou Assembly of God Church with Ted Carrington and Ray Perryman officiating. Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home in Lorenzo. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Monday at Adams Funeral Home in Lorenzo.

He passed away January 20, 2005 at his home in Lubbock. Wayne was born September 18, 1938 in Ralls to Elmer and Claudia (Randeau) Conger. On February 14, 1975 he married Debbie McKnight in Lubbock, Texas. He was a member of West Lake Assembly of God Church and former member of the Idalou Assembly of God Church. He attended Shallowater schools and moved to Lubbock in 1952 from Shallowater. He worked in the shipping and receiving department at Scoggin-Dickey Buick in Lubbock. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include; his wife; Debbie Conger of Lubbock, two sons; Benny Leon Conger, Terry Wayne Conger, two daughters; Jodie Waine Bishop and Tammy Renee Conger all of Lubbock, 3 brothers, Joe Conger of Sweetwater, Benny Conger and Bob Conger, both of Lubbock, 2 sisters, Johhnie McClure and Claudia Marshall both of Lubbock and three grandchildren; Tamara Bishop, Darrell Wayne Bishop and Dalton Wyatt Bishop.
