Funeral services for Johan Dyck, age 72 of Seminole, Texas will be held Friday, July 9, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Colony Mennonite Church with Bishop Peter Jansen officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mr. Dyck was born in Mexico on October 11, 1948 to Justina (Bueckert) and Isaak Dyck. He married Sara Wall in Mexico on July 13, 1969. He was a member of the Old Colony Church in Seminole and worked as a mechanic. He enjoyed his work and loved his grandchildren dearly.

Johan Dyck passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Seminole Memorial Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, and six brothers. He is survived by his wife, Sara Dyck of Seminole; four sons, Isaak Dyck of Seminole, Abraham Dyck and wife Susana of Meadow, Texas, John Dyck and wife Elizabeth of Tarzan, Texas, and Jacob Dyck and wife Maria of Seminole; two daughters, Justina Rempel and husband Jacob of Wellman, Texas and Sara Hildebrand and husband John of Brownfield, Texas; two brothers, Cornelius Dyck and wife Elizabeth of Canada and Abraham Dyck and wife Helena of Mexico; two sisters, Maria Wiens and husband Peter and Justina Fehr and husband Willie, both of Mexico; 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
