Funeral services for Homero Ramirez Lopez, 73 of Seminole will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 12, 2021 at the St. James Catholic Church with Father Jose De Dios Gonzalez officiating, under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole.

Homero passed away on July 6, 2021 in Seminole.

Homero was born June 28, 1948 in Monterrey, Mexico to Ascencion and Julia Ramirez Lopez. He was employed with the Gaines County Golf Course for 15 years. He also worked for the Seminole Memorial Hospital for 11 years as a maintenance man. Homero was a resident of Seminole for over 33 years. He loved spending time with his daughters and sons-in-law and his family all around. Homero was a very loving person, very optimistic and always saw the brighter side. He loved to encourage people to do their best. He also was a big joker. He was so strong not even cancer could beat him. He will be missed dearly and will live in our hearts forever.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one son Martin Lopez.

Homero is survived by his wife Reyna Lopez of Seminole; six daughters Cecilia Carrizales of Mexico, Veronica Gasca of Seminole, Reyna Garcia of Bryan, Fanny Lopez of Mexico, Karina Mendoza of Bryan, Mayra Rangel of Seminole. Also, five brothers and four sisters; 13 grandchildren and one greatgranddaughter.
