Billy Earl Crump was born October 31, 1926 in the Owens Community, Crosby County, to Raymond E. Crump and Jewell Turner Crump. Billy attended school at Owens and Ralls. Billy married Mary Fayma Artley in Lubbock on January 21, 1949. A retired farmer, Billy was a member of First Baptist Church in Ralls and Lorenzo Country Club. He was an avid golfer and fisherman and had lived in the Ralls area all his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Raymond Elmo on D-Day in Normandy, France, a sister Ila Mae Thornton of Ralls, a brother and sister-in-law, Verner and Mildred Crump of Lamesa, a son, Lelon (Bud) Crump of Amarillo and a grandson, John Stigler of Tomball.

He is survived by Fayma, his wife of 60 years, one son, Wayne and wife Lynette Crump of Ralls, one daughter, Colene Blankinship of Dickinson, one brother, Clyde and wife Madalyn Crump of Ralls. He is also survived by five grandchildren; Cyndy and husband Jud Marking of Woodway, Krista and husband Geoff Scott of Lubbock, Michelle Crump of Lubbock, Tamra and husband Tim Porter of Lubbock, and Cory Crump (in the U. S. Army) and wife Cristy, great grandchildren Braden and Luke Marking, Keagan, Korbin, Kasen and Kambri Scott, Jerry Stigler, a close friend, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
