Funeral services for Miguel Josue Mendoza, age 37 of Seminole, Texas will be held Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at M.S. Doss Chapel with Pastor Manuel Diaz officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. Rosary will be held Friday, July 16, 2021 at Boyer Funeral Home from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home. Visitation will start Thursday, July 15 th from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday, July 16th from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Mr. Mendoza was born September 20, 1983 in Portales, New Mexico to Yolanda (Diaz) and Miguel Angel Mendoza. He was a Christian and worked in the oilfield. Miguel was a loveable man who loved his family and was especially devoted to his mother. He enjoyed making people laugh. He had a big heart, and was very outspoken but always tried to give good advice. He enjoyed roping, working with horses and cattle, and trying to sing, although he knew he wasn't the best singer. He loved his daughter dearly.
Miguel Mendoza passed away Friday, July 9, 2021 at Kindred Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. He is preceded in death by his mother Yolanda Mendoza in 2018. He is survived by one daughter, Jerika Mendoza of Marfa, Texas; three brothers, Uber Mendoza and wife Jennifer of Amarillo, Texas, and Jesus Mendoza and Eric Mendoza, both of Odessa, Texas; and his father, Miguel Mendoza of Odessa, Texas.
