*Obituary
Mrs. Rubye McCarter, 67, retired licensed vocational nurse, and longtime area resident, died at 3 p.m. Thursday in Pampa Highland General Hospital.

She resided in Phillips and Borger for many years before moving away. She returned to Borger three years ago residing at 8 Production Street, Huber.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Marian Steen, Santa Monica, Calif.; sister, Mrs. Darrell of Seymour; two brothers, Hubert Sargent of Borger, and Bill Sargent of Anchorage, Alaska; a grandson, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are to be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday from Gateway Baptist Church with the Rev. Gordon Parker officiating.

Interment in Highland Park Cemetery will be directed by Simpson Funeral Home.

Casketbearers are Oral Holcomb, C.D. Faulkner, W.O. Seymour, J.L. Tucker, J.P. Knight, and V.D. Seymour.
