Claude W. McConnell, 77, of 201 Lariat, Fritch, died at 8 p.m. Saturday in St. Anthony's Hospital in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dave Adkins, pastor of the First Southern Baptist Church, Fritch, officiating.

Masonic graveside rites will be under the auspices of the Billy Dixon Masonic Lodge. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Alexander-Simpson Funeral Directors.

Mr. McConnell was born Nov. 9, 1899. He was a retired employee of Natural Gas Pipeline Co., and a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, Fritch, the Billy Dixon Masonic Lodge No. 1369, the Consistory in Little Rock, Ark., and Borger Chapter 811 of he Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include his wife, Lorena; three daughters, Mrs. Beverly Taylor of Fritch, Mrs. Claudette Moore of Cleveland, Miss., and Mrs. Elizabeth Gould of Manhattan, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Jennings of Blommington, Ill., and Mrs. Eddie Ruth Edwards, of Miami, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family requests that donations be sent to the Cancer Fund.

FRITCH - Mrs. Lorena Roberts McConnell, 75, of 201 Lariat, died at 7 a.m. today in North Plains Hospital.

Services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors.

A native of Walker County, Ga., she had been a resident of Fritch for seven years. She was a housewife, member of First Southern Baptist Church, and Borger Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Beverly Taylor of Fritch, Mrs. Elizabeth Gould of Manhattan, Kans., and Mrs. Claudette Moore of Ada, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. Edista Givens of Fritch; one brother, McLemore Roberts of Spartanburg, S.C.; 12 grandchildren, and 99 great-grandchildren.
