Borger Daily Herald - July 16, 1928

Scotch Bobby [Robert McCulloch], well known athletic director of Borger, died at a local hospital at 5 o'clock Sunday morning after an illness of several weeks, contracted from an infection in his foot. He had rallied somewhat Saturday and hope was entertained for his recovery.

Since there are no known relatives in the United States, the body will be buried in Highland cemetery tomorrow afternoon with full military honors under the direction of the local post of the American Legion. The body will lie in state tomorrow morning from 9:30 until 12 o'clock at the Legion home on Sixth street.

Shortly after 12 o'clock members of the American Legion are asked to meet at the hall to accompany the body to an exclusive plot laid out at Highland cemetery by the Smith-Buntin funeral home under whose direction the body is being prepared. Leading the funeral procession will be an army caisson drawn by eight black horses on which the body will be carried. At the grave a salute will be fired by a firing squad from Pampa.

There will be a call meeting of the American Legion tonight at 8 o'clock in effect details of tomorrow's services.
