Final rites of Orville R. McDonald, 48, of Phillips, Phillips Petroleum Company employe, are announced for 2 p.m. Wednesday from First Baptist Church, Phillips. The Rev. Norris Onstead, pastor will officiate.

Burial in Highland Park Cemetery will be directed by Minton Mortuary.

Casketbearers are Gene Evans, Dan Reed, Clarence Jenkins, H.A. Shipley, Earnest Brown, C.L. Aaron.

An area resident for 23 years, McDonald died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday. He was a member of the Phillips Church.

Surviving are his wife, Velma, of 7 S. Lemp; daughter, Jeannen and son, Orville Jr., both of Canyon; three sisters, Mrs. Lois Parker, Wichita, Kans., Mrs. Lucille Waldroop, Okmulgee, Okla., Mrs. Louise Gaither, St. Louis, Mo.; brother, C.O. McDonald of Okmulgee; and three grandchildren.

Velma Naomi McDonald Williams, 69, 1711 Clayton, died Monday, December 26 in Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo.

A retired LVN at North Plains Hospital, she was a native of Okmulgee, Okla. and a Borger resident since 1943.

She was a member of the Central Baptist and the Royal Neighbors of America.

She is survived by her husband, W.L. "Doc" Williams of the home; one daughter, Jeanne Hick of Canyon; a son, Ray McDonald of Fort Worth; two stepsons, John Williams of Angleton, Jim Williams of Kirtland, N.M.; stepdaughter, Juanita Matlock of Borger; a sister, Eva Arnold of Okmulgee, Okla.; fifteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Bud Kidwell, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
