*Obituary
Borger's "Mother" McGhee, beloved longtime resident of this area, is dead. Mrs. Zillah Jane McGhee, 93, died at 8 a.m. Saturday at her home, 315 West Grand, after a lingering illness.

Best known for her work in local church circles, "Mother" McGhee was a member of the First Baptist Church, and of the Order of Eastern Star at Grandin, Mo. She had resided in Borger for the past 17 years, moving here from the Missouri home after the death of her husband, James M. McGhee. She resided with two daughters, Miss Mildred McGhee and Mrs. J.H. O'Neal at the Grand Avenue address.

Survivors, other than Miss McGhee and Mrs. O'Neal, include two other daughters, Mrs. G. H. Johnson, Redlands, Calif., and Mrs. Nell Crouch, Macon, Mo.; one son, F.E. McGhee, Jefferson City, Mo.; eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church, with the pastor, Winfred Moore, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park cemetery, under the direction of Minton Funeral Home.

Casketbearers will be J.L. Sands, Frank P. Smithey, Joe Rives, R.E. Sharpe, Olin Henderson, and Phil A. Spidy.
