*Obituary
Services for R.H. Foard, who died in Fayetteville, Arkansas, were held in the First Methodist Church in Paducah. Mr. Foard moved to Texas at an early age, and lived in Cottle County for many years, being one of the pioneers in this section. He settled in the Delwin community where he first came to Cottle County and lived there for a number of years before moving to Paducah. He moved from Paducah to Fayetteville in 1919. While living in Paducah, he was intensely interested in education and did much toward giving Cottle county the fine school system it has now. He was at all times a staunch supporter of churches. During World War I, Mr. Foard was a member of the local examining board. He was a real American citizen. He was a member of the Masonic Order.
