Emma L. Barron Hughes, age 85 of Carrollton, Texas passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013 in a Dallas hospital.
Mrs. Hughes was born January 8, 1927 in Washington County, Tennessee.
She was retired and is preceded in death by her husband, W. Lee Hughes and a daughter, Sandra K. Hughes.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons in law, Carolyn and Kyle Booth of Carrollton, Texas, Linda McCoy of Carrollton, Texas, Brenda and Tom Sherman of Sunnyvale, Texas, four sons and three daughters in law, Bobby L. and Janet Hughes of Hooks, Texas, Gary W and Karla Hughes of Anchorage Alaska, Jerry P. and Marion Hughes of Wasilla, Alaska, David A. Hughes of Carrollton, Texas, 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 7, 2013 at Myrtle Springs Cemetery, Hooks, Texas with Rev. Matthew Hughes officiating. Interment will be in Myrtle Springs Cemetery under the direction of Bates-Rolf Funeral Home, New Boston.
