FRITCH - Rev. Elmer Munholland, 75, died Saturday, Oct. 3, at his home.

Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fellowship Baptist in Borger with the Rev. A.F. Casey, of First Baptist Church of Fritch, officiating and the Rev. Mike Smith, of Fellowship Baptist of Borger, assisting. Burial was in the Garden of Resthaven in Highland Park in Borger under the direction of Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch.

Casket bearers were Jim Castleberry, Bobby Killins, Allen Henderson, Randy Tindall, John Price, Russell Wilkinson and Johnny Hodges. Honorary casket bearers were his grandsons and great-grandsons.

Mr. Munholland was born in Heavener, Okla., and had been a resident of Hutchinson County since 1957. He retired from the Sanford Fritch Independent Schools where he worked in the bus maintenance department. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fritch where he served as associate pastor. He was a Sunday school teacher, bus driver and salvation worker for many, many years at the Fellowship Baptist Church. His family and the Lord always came first in his life. He was never too busy to stop and tell someone about his Lord and Savior.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He married Rose Ott on Dec. 24, 1946, in Latimer County, Okla.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Rose, of the home; one son, Tom Munholland of Amarillo; six daughters, Chum Castleberry, of Borger; Elaine Henderson of Weatherford, Okla.; Connie Tindall, of Borger; Debbie Killins, of Stinnett; LeAnn Wilkinson, of Amarillo, and Penny Hodges, of Fritch; one brother, Gene Munholland, of Durant, Okla.; two sisters, Gracie Canfield of Phoenix, Ariz., and Bertha Coy of Snyder; 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
