Sybil Jones, 88, passed away on Nov. 28, 2006 in Dallas. She was born on Aug. 25, 1918, in Cottle County, Paducah, Texas to Elzie N. and Anita (Renfro) Jones. Sybil served in the Navy during World War II. She attended Traphagen School of Fashion in New York City. For twenty years in NYC she had her own greeting card business where she personally created the designs and greetings.
Preceded in death by her mother and father, her sisters Myrtis Jones and Johnnie Leathers Howell, she is survived by her niece Paula (Leathers) and husband Stan Kohan of Dallas and great niece Katherine Kohan of New York City and niece Brenda Leathers Johnson of San Antonio; great nephew John and wife Shari Johnson of Abernathy; great niece Jennifer Johnson and husband Dave Tidey of Greenwood, Colo.; and two great great nephews and one great great niece.
