Ione Opal Scott, 76, died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1993 in Childress.
Ione Opal Cass was born in the Lillie Community of Collingsworth County on May 7, 1916 to Conrad Cass and Maggie Haralson Cass. She attended school at Lillie. On May 11, 1935 she married Carroll W. Jones in Wellington. He died in 1973. She married George Scott on May 3, 1984, also in Wellington. She had moved to Brownfield in 1939 and returned to Wellington in 1975. She was a homemaker and an active member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her husband, George Scott of Wellington; three
daughters: Charlotte Kinion of Panhandle; Carolyn Barker of Levelland and Sheree Robinson of Sundown; two brothers, Troy Cass
and Roy Cass, both of San Diego, Ca; a sister, Velina Emmeret of
Wellington and seven grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenyth Cass.
