*Obituary
Funeral services for L.B. Nichols Sr., 70, are scheduled at 3 p.m. Saturday in the First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. James G. Glenn, pastor, will officiate. Interment in Highland Park Cemetery will be under the direction of Ed Brown, funeral director.

Mr. Nichols died at his residence, 1305 Potter, at 11 p.m. Thursday. He was a resident here since 1925 and until his retirement was owner of Nichols Tool Company. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Masonic Lodge at Beaver, Oklahoma. He was an elder in the local Presbyterian Church.

Honorary pallbearers will be elders of the church, also C.C. Keech, Pat David, Bob Grimes, Bob Bradshaw, G.H. Turpin, Grady Prichard, E.J. Lewis, Sr., Walt Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtis; two sons, L.B. Nichols Jr., of Borger, Dr. Neal Nichols of Odessa; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Dempsey of Amarillo; his mother, Mrs. Ella Nichols, of Woodward, Oklahoma; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Shelton of Arnett, Oklahoma, Mrs. Maude Cross of Jericho Springs, Missouri; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside rites will be under the auspices of Isom Masonic Lodge 1242 AF and AM. All local members are requested to report to the Masonic Temple at 2 p.m. Saturday to prepare for the services.
