Marilyn Kay Woolsey Wise, 69, of Hooks, TX, died Sunday, April 17, 2011, at her home. She was born August 1, 1941, in Bethany, MO. She was a retired jewelry manager for Wal-Mart, and was a member of Myrtle Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Wise, a brother, John Woolsey, and her parents, Worth and Dorene Woolsey.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Shauna and Richie Stevens; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Kim Thompson and Dickey and Stephanie Thompson; a sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Billy Jones; a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Carol Woolsey; 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Myrtle Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Hardaway officiating. Burial will be in Myrtle Springs Cemetery under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 P.M. Monday, April 18, 2011, at Chapelwood Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Dierksen Memorial Hospice, or to the Myrtle Springs Baptist Church Building Fund.
