James Robert O'Neal, 74, of Borger, passed away, Saturday, August 7, 2010 in Amarillo, TX. James O'Neal was born February 7, 1936 in Shamrock, TX to Paul and Lucille O'Neal. On June 1, 1958 he married Betty "Deanie" Fennell in Borger, TX. James and Deanie made their home in Borger where James worked for J.M. Huber Corporation as a Lab technician for 34 years. James was an active member of Fellowship Baptist Church where he gave over 30 years of leadership serving in different capacities.

James was a veteran, serving in the army. While he was in the army he spent time in Germany and later served in the National Guard.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife Deanie of the home, one son John O'Neal and wife Teresa of Navarre, FL., one daughter Cathy McGaughey and husband Mark of Jacksonville, FL, two brothers Ed O'Neal and wife Janis of Leaky, TX., Jerry O'Neal of Farmington, NM, three sisters Louise Alexander, Joyce Bush and husband Glen and Vickie Bedell and husband Steve all of Amarillo, TX, six grandchildren, Ryan McGaughey and wife Megan of Kansas City, Mo., Neal McGaughey and wife Amy of Washington D.C., Skyler O'Neal , Ethan O'Neal and Hannah Russell all of Navarre, FL., Tessa Widows of Kansas City, MO, three great grandchildren Kennedy and Farrell McGaughey both of Kansas City, Mo and London McGaughey of Washington D.C.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Borger, TX with burial to follow at Highland Park Cemetery in Borger, TX.
