Funeral services for Pfc. Carl S. Parker, Jr., 18, who died in combat in the Vietnam War last Thursday, were scheduled for 10 a.m. today in Ed Brown & Sons Chapel of the Fountains.

The Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor of the Bible Baptist Church, will officiate with military honors to follow at graveside in Highland Park Cemetery.

He was the first Borger serviceman to die in the Vietnam conflict.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Ida Mae Back of Borger; a sister, Mrs. P.C. Coronado, San Antonio; four step-brothers; and four step-sisters.
