*Obituary
Kincheloe "Doc" Pate, 48, a former Tucson resident, drowned Sunday in a lake near Amarillo, Tex., according to Tucson relatives of Mr. Pate.

A resident of Borger, Tex., Mr. Pate lived here from 1943 to 1945 and was one of the first civilian firemen at Davis-Monthan AFB. He enlisted in the Navy near the end of World War II.

The owner and operator of Budweiser Distributing Co., Borger, he leaves his widow, Gladys; a brother, Gideon Pate, both of Borger, and his mother, Mrs. Alberta Furrow, of Tucson.
