Funeral services for David McCann Peabody, 68, Borger, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Gateway Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Johnson, associate pastor of Riverview Baptist Church, and the Rev. Bill Austin, interim pastor of Keeler Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

He died at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1993 in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.

A native of Clarendon, he had been a Borger resident since 1946. He was a crane operator for Phillips Petroleum Company.

He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church, American Legion Post No. 412 and was past commander.

He married Judy Gunter April 18, 1947 in Borger.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Kathy Browning of Borger; and Kay Dobbs of Gladstone, Mo.; four half-sisters, Ruby Cannon of Dalhart; Lee Ola Cannon of Broken Arrow, Okla.; Lee Ona Crouch of Grandbury; and Frances Harper of Shawnee, Okla.; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Ray, Charlie Davis, Burl Teague, Henry Northcutt, Thomas Bales, and Jerry Browning.

The family will be staying at 403 Butadiena.
